The project titled “Land-atmosphere coupling and their impact on compound extremes” aims to explore the dynamics of land-atmosphere interactions and their influence on extreme weather events. The research will delve into the spatiotemporal variability of these interactions across different climatic regions and seasons, identifying hotspots and assessing the impact of land use and land cover changes on these phenomena.

Project Details

Project Title: “Land-atmosphere coupling and their impact on compound extremes”.

Duration: 3 years.

Eligibility

Candidates must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL categories, and a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PWD categories. Alternatively, a CGPA of 7.5/10 or 70% of marks for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL categories and at least CGPA of 7.0/10 or 65% for SC/ST/PWD categories is required. A B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering or an equivalent degree, along with an MTech/M. E in a relevant Civil Engineering specialization, is essential. GATE qualification is not mandatory but desirable.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs 37,000/- per month for the first two years
• Rs 42,000/- per month during the third year based on performance
