The Junior Research Fellow position is part of a project titled “High-Efficiency, Low-Cost Green Hydrogen Production via Corrosion-Resistant and Conductive Coatings on Structural Porous Transport Layers and Bipolar Plates in PEM Water Electrolyzers.” Sponsored by ANRF, this project aims to develop innovative solutions for hydrogen production, a key component in the transition to sustainable energy systems. The selected candidate will engage in equipment procurement, experimental research, data interpretation, and report preparation, contributing significantly to the project’s success.

Project Details

Project Title: “High-Efficiency, Low-Cost Green Hydrogen Production via Corrosion-Resistant and Conductive Coatings on Structural Porous Transport Layers and Bipolar Plates in PEM Water Electrolyzers”.

Duration: Maximum 3 years or till the completion of project tenure (whichever is earlier).

Principle Investigator: Dr. S Roohan Farooq Lala

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, with a minimum of 70% aggregate marks or 7.5 CGPA for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and 65% aggregate marks or 7.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Alternatively, candidates with an MSc in Materials Science/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Energy Materials with MTech. in Materials Science/ Metallurgy/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Ceramic Engineering/ Surface Engineering/ Energy Materials with minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 37,000/- per month for the first two years
  • Rs. 42,000/- per month for the third year
