Description
The Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at IIT Hyderabad offers a unique opportunity to engage in high-fidelity CFD modelling of spray and combustion processes. The role involves developing OpenFOAM CFD solvers with coupled Level Set VOF-LPT modelling and incorporating coal combustion kinetics to simulate Coal Water Slurry combustion. The fellowship is designed for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Eligibility
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. with a B.Tech./M.Tech equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. A minimum of three publications in Scopus-indexed journals is required. Experience with Ansys Fluent and OpenFOAM CFD solvers, as well as the development of customized CFD solvers using OpenFOAM libraries, is essential. Candidates should have a strong academic record and excellent writing and communication skills.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Consolidated pay ranging from Rs. 75,400 to Rs. 79,300 per month, including HRA, based on post-doc experience
