The Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai, is inviting applications from Indian nationals for the position of Principal Associate (PA) in an IBITF-funded research project. The project involves the development of an intelligent robotic system designed for vertical farming. This smart agro-bot will utilize advanced sensors to monitor crop health and environmental conditions, analyse data using sophisticated algorithms, and dispense fertilizers precisely based on the specific needs of each plant. By integrating machine learning, the system aims to enhance efficiency, increase crop yield, and promote sustainable agricultural practices. The Principal Investigator for this project is Purnendu Das, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bhilai.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a B.Tech or B.E. degree from a relevant discipline. Preference will be given to those with research, project, or working experience in areas such as instrumentation, sensors, circuits, data science, agricultural science, robotics, or related fields. The age limit for applicants is 35 years.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Consolidated salary of ₹40,000 per month

No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
