The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and machine learning has made it imperative for educators and researchers to stay updated with the latest advancements. The Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Mathematical Foundations of Deep Learning: Bridging Theory and Practice” offers a unique opportunity to delve into the mathematical principles underpinning modern deep learning. This programme, organized by the Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics at Alliance University, Bangalore, and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering E & ICT Academy, NIT Warangal, is sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
Programme Overview
The FDP is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the mathematical foundations critical to deep learning. It emphasizes the integration of theoretical concepts such as linear algebra, calculus, probability, statistics, and optimization with practical implementation using Python and deep learning frameworks. Through expert lectures and hands-on sessions, participants will gain insights into neural network architectures, model optimization, representation learning, and emerging AI technologies.
