Description

The recruitment is for a project titled “Design and Development of Flexible Solar Parabolic Dish Concentrator System with Variable Focal Length for Electrical Power Generation and Potable Water Production using TEG and Seawater.” This project is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) Core Research Grant (CRG). The project duration is set for one year and two months, with the position initially available for one year, extendable based on performance and funding availability. This role also offers the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. at NIT Puducherry, adhering to the institute’s norms.

  • Senior/Junior Research Fellow (SRF/JRF) – 01 Position

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Energy, Chemical, or Aeronautical Engineering and an M.E./MTech. in Thermal Engineering, Solar Energy, Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, or any allied stream. A first-class degree in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./MTech. is mandatory. Additionally, candidates should have knowledge in developing experimental setups related to solar energy, heat transfer, thermal engineering, and proficiency in CFD – ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL Multiphysics.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 37,000 + 08% HRA for the first two years as JRF
  • Rs. 42,000 + 08% HRA for the third year as SRF
