Description

The ANRF Junior Research Fellow (ANRF-JRF) position at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is part of a project focused on creating AI-driven multimodal material understanding systems. These systems are designed to enhance waste segregation processes by accurately identifying and classifying various waste materials in real-world conditions. The project will explore advanced deep learning models and modality-agnostic fusion frameworks to improve system robustness across different environments and waste streams. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to enrol for a PhD at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, subject to performance and eligibility.

  • ANRF Junior Research Fellow (ANRF-JRF)

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech/MTech/MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Mathematics & Computing, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence. Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow in computer vision is desirable. Prior experience in multi-model learning, material classification, or multi-sensor data analysis is highly advantageous. Age and relaxation criteria are as per the norms of the Govt. of India/DST-ANRF for JRF recruitment.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • 37,000 (in 1st & 2nd Year) and ₹ 42,000 (in 3rd Year) per month + HRA (as applicable, in case hostel accommodation is not available)
