Description
The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will play a crucial role in the project titled “Design and Development of UV-Assisted Self-Cleaning Filters Using Ceramic Membranes for Recycling Circulated Water Blowdown from Thermal Power Stations.” This project aims to develop a novel filtration system that integrates UV technology for self-cleaning purposes, enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of water recycling processes in thermal power plants. The JRF will be responsible for system setup, UV integration, filtration and fouling studies, water quality analysis, and performance optimization. Additionally, the role involves data acquisition, basic modeling using MATLAB/Python, documentation, and reporting, while ensuring safe and efficient project execution.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess a Post Graduate degree in basic science or a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course selected through a process described by MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc. Essential qualifications include good knowledge of membrane fabrication, characterization, and synthesis, along with experience in using simulation software such as ANSYS Fluent or COMSOL. The upper age limit shall be as per the institute/Government of India norms, with age relaxation and reservation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates in accordance with Government of India rules.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Monthly salary of Rs. 37,000 for the first two years.
