The Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad is inviting applications from Indian nationals for the position of Research Associate-I on a contractual basis. This opportunity is part of a research project focused on plant growth-promoting bacteria as bioinoculants to combat drought stress in long bean plants. Description

The project, funded by the AISTDF Secretariat, SERB, New Delhi, aims to explore the interaction between plants and microbes, utilizing NGS data analysis and computational biology tools. The research will involve international collaboration with ASEAN partners, providing a global perspective on the study. The position is temporary and governed by the rules of the funding agency and the Office of the Dean (Research & Consultancy) at MNNIT Allahabad.

• Research Associate-I (On Contract)

Eligibility

PhD in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Plant Genomics, Molecular Biology or any relevant discipline suitable to the work proposed in the project.

Candidates having M.Tech degree (in above mentioned fields) with minimum three year’s research/teaching experience and at least one publication in Science Citation Indexed journal are also eligible. 

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs. 58,000 per month plus HRA (or as per funding agency guidelines)
