Description
The Junior Research Fellow position is part of a specialized research project titled “A Fundamental Understanding and Prediction of Magnetogasdynamics Shock Wave Behaviour in Viscous Non-Ideal Dusty Gases” sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). This research initiative is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Deepika Singh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at NSUT, New Delhi. The project focuses on advanced mathematical modelling and computational analysis of complex fluid dynamics phenomena, specifically dealing with magnetogasdynamics shock wave behaviour in challenging environments involving viscous non-ideal dusty gases.
This research opportunity is designed for candidates who have a strong foundation in mathematics and applied mathematics, with particular interest in fluid dynamics, gas dynamics, and partial differential equations. Eligibility
The minimum eligibility criteria for the Junior Research Fellow position are established as per the Office Memorandum DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023, issued by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Candidates must meet the following essential qualifications:
- Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course
- Selection through National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE
- OR selection through National level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies including DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Postgraduation in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics from a recognized University/Institute with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA with NET/GATE
- Sound knowledge of Fluid Dynamics/Gas Dynamics and PDEs (especially hyperbolic systems)
- Proficiency in computational tools such as MATLAB, Mathematica, or Python
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- First and Second Year: Rs 37,000/- per month + 30% HRA
- Third Year: Rs 42,000/- per month + 30% HRA
